Man Hue Duong

Man Hue Duong was a toddler when her family fled Vietnam following the Fall of Saigon in 1978. After crossing the South China Sea to Malaysia, she nearly lost her life to a severe fever in a refugee camp. Two years later, her family immigrated to the United States and began rebuilding their lives in Utica, New York.

Man earned her Associate of Science in Fine Arts from Munson-Williams-Proctor Institute and went on to the State University of New York at New Paltz, where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics and a Bachelor of Science in Art Education. She later completed her Master’s degree in Art Education at Queens College.

For over a decade, Man has been sharing the practice of yoga as a means of inquiry, strength, and connection. She is an E-RYT 500 through the Kripalu School of Yoga and holds certifications in children’s yoga, aerial yoga, and SPRY (Strength, Power, Resistance, Yoga). Her initial 200-hour training was completed at the White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara, California. She has continued her studies at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, the Yoga Sanctuary in Las Vegas, advanced yoga training with Noah Maze in Bali, and trauma-informed yoga training with Lisa Danylchuck.

In addition to her yoga work, Man is trained as a Labor and Postpartum Doula and has offered prenatal, postnatal, family, and private yoga to support individuals and families through life’s major transitions. Most recently, she completed her End-of-Life Doula training and is devoted to fostering greater awareness, education, and compassionate support around the physical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of death and dying.

Man spent a decade living in Las Vegas, where she created ceramic work and taught art and yoga to children and adults of all ages. She returned to Central New York in 2017 and continues to share her passions for art, yoga, birth and family care, death and dying, and the ongoing exploration of human potential.
